Communication Surveillance Analyst
London Based
Our client is a Global Trading venue, who are looking for someone to join their Communication Surveillance team, in a Product Owner role. You will be supporting day to day implementation and governance over both upstream comms platforms and downstream platforms, as well as supporting Record and Retention Governance and Oversight.
What you will be doing:
- Governance, controls, and ongoing monitoring of comm's record keeping and surveillance technology including implementation of new technologies (Day 1 requirements) and BAU monitoring of all communication technologies (Day 2 requirements). Technology coverage includes upstream comm's platforms e.g. Teams, Bloomberg, WhatsApp, and comm's record keeping and surveillance platforms.
- Liaison between IT & Compliance on a day to day basis, supporting all daily queries and managing vendor support for both upstream platforms
- Support governance and implementation oversight on day to day basis for Record Keeping & Retention policies associated with all trade & communication technology
- Perform routine testing on all recorded communication platforms to ensure platforms are recording as intended
What you will bring:
- Exposure to communication surveillance platforms
- Exposure to financial regulations globally with a focus on EMEA regulations e.g. MiFID 2, REMIT, MAR
- At least one implementation for both voice and written communication surveillance platforms
- Track record as a Business Analyst within the Financial Services/ broking industry (essential)
- Experience with business requirements definition (essential)
- Previous practical experience gained working in a monitoring and surveillance function within a Financial Services firm (desirable)
- Experience of working in a broking / trading capacity (desirable).
