Reconciliations Manager, Permanent, Up to £65,000 base + bonus + benefits

Are you looking to work in a fast-paced environment, as part of a growing Global business? Our client, an extremely well-regarded Fintech company, is looking for a Reconcilations Manager to join their team in London.

 

As Reconciliations Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the end to end reconciliations of all ledger movements and card transactions that pass through the company's ecosystem. This requires high levels of micro detail, analytical skills, and documentation of actions taken including remediation steps, process guides and others as appropriate. You will compile aggregate statistics on card usage to assist the company in identifying patterns and improving overall customer service.

 

What you will be doing:

● Reconciliation of all Customer, Float, Collateral ledgers in GBP, EUR, SGD and USD, across various schemes; Faster Payments, BACS, SWIFT, MasterCard, Visa, FAST & ACH

● Work with complex ledger set up & display methodical approach to resolving discrepancies within them

● Take ownership of areas of responsibility and feed back progress on a regular basis

● Identify discrepancies, the respective root causes, and taking action to eliminate / prevent any such in perspective

● Monitoring ageing reports to support clean account reconciliation

● Understanding of safeguarding requirements in accordance with FCA regulations

● Ensuring all reconciliation related processes and procedures are put in place, fully adhered to and processed within business and regulatory guidelines

● Continually look at ways of building-up on processes, improving reconciliation robustness and introducing controls

 

What you will bring:

● 5+ years work experience with reconciliations in a high-volume transaction environment

● Knowledge of Card Schemes, Alternative Payment Methods & payment solutions

● Very good working knowledge of MS Excel (Formulas, Pivot Tables, Reference Functions)

● Have excellent attention to detail and ability to work with large data sets

● Motivated to find end-to-end solutions and work cross-functionally and with remote teams Desirable:

● Hold a university / college degree in a numerical subject

● An understanding of accounting concepts, principles and reconciliation tools
