SENIOR SALES MANAGER (JAPANESE-SPEAKING)
ICE Data Services, a subsidiary of Intercontinental Exchange, is looking for high caliber sales professional to join our growing team. The successful candidate will have a “hunter” type of profile and a background with emphasis on selling to new customers and generating additional business within existing accounts. The focus will be on growing business by deploying a targeted sales strategy, building pipeline and cross selling between the existing business lines of the Index offering. Additionally, the Sales Executive will work in collaboration with Account Managers and other IDS Sales Executives to identify opportunities for upsell and cross-sell within the existing account base. The Sales Executive is expected to have a comprehensive understanding of the customer use cases and business in general. Client meetings, presentations and preparation of RFP/RFI responses will all be an integral part of the role, as well as interacting with customer, internal business partners, and pre sales on detailed aspects of a solution.

We seek an aggressive hunter with polished sales, pipeline management, territory management and closing skills. A solid financial industry data or solutions background is preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Exceed sales quota
- Manage territory (Japan) and work closely with colleagues to identify and close new opportunities
- Manage and develop strong client relationships
- Work closely with the product and business team to provide feedback on any client, prospect or partner requirements
- CRM and pipeline management
Person Specification:
- 5+ years track record of over-achievement sales experience
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills required
- Proven track record in quota-bearing roles including successful execution of complex sales and negotiations
- Clear ability to hunt within sales territory and build strong relationships with key client stakeholders
- Ability to accelerate the sales process; generating leads, managing the proposal process, overcoming objections
- Knowledge of trading, compliance, risk and post trade portfolio valuation uses cases
- Previous experience working within a data/software vendor, Exchange, or trading firm
- Contacts within the financial services industry including front, middle and back offices on the buy-side and the sell-side is desirable
- Previous experience of developing relationships from a cold call or networking activity is highly desirable
- Collaborative, team-oriented player with drive to contribute to individual and group results
- Experience of coordinating and completing RFPs and presenting to senior decision-makers and stakeholders
- Proficient in pipeline management and forecasting
- Well-developed IT skills, notably MS PowerPoint & Excel and Salesforce CRM
- Business fluency in Japanese and English
